Festival regular for over ten years — Fusion, Feel, Garbicz and plenty of small ones in between. Software developer by day. I build and run ride2rave on the side, as a private hobby project — no startup, no team, no association.
In 2023 I was standing in the Fusion car park — every car next to mine had just as many empty seats. You know the feeling.
There were Facebook groups, WhatsApp lists, Telegram chaos, BlaBlaCar with filter roulette. Nothing made for festivals. Nothing without fees.
So I built it myself. No business plan, no exit, no hockey stick — just a site that does what it should.
I write the code, answer the support mail, talk to festivals and look after the data. If something strikes you on ride2rave — good or bad — it lands straight with me.
Which also means: sometimes a reply takes a while, because I'm at a festival myself. I'm one person, not a call centre — but I read everything.
